Have you ever wondered if acupuncture is for you?

If you’re thinking of trying acupuncture (maybe for the first time!) you have probably noticed that something with your body or mind is out of whack, and you are in search of a little help getting it back to your normal—or even better! Maybe you’re a woman in her 30’s who is starting to notice more cramping each month during your cycle, and you’d like to feel more comfortable during your period. Maybe you’re someone who knows you always feel a little down and subdued during the long, dark winter months and you’d like to feel more cheery even when there’s less sunlight. Maybe you’re a cyclist who injured your shoulder last year and it’s never felt quite right since then, and you’d like better range of motion and ease restored.

Seems amazing that one modality can be good for such a variety of things, right? Well, because an acupuncturist looks at the body as a whole, often we can simplify a wide range of symptoms or sensations as “deficient” or “energy is stuck” or “energy isn’t flowing the way it should in this part of the body.” Taking all of the information you are able to share as a whole, I can see a larger pattern which may involve many symptoms but be quite simple overall.

By inserting whisker-thin needles into the body at specific points, I am able to guide energy towards part of the body that feels weak or lacking in strength. I can drain energy from an area that feels stuck or hyperactive. I can help smooth out rough flow of energy, or to correct places energy is flowing in a direction it shouldn’t be. Once I’ve done this a few times, your body will re-learn how things are supposed to work and amazingly will take over from there. I offer a nudge in the right direction when you need it!
